Arunachal Bike Trip: Tawang, Sangti, Bumla & Kripti

There’s something special about riding through mountains — the wind on your face, the sound of engines echoing through valleys, and the feeling of pure freedom. Our group — Trip Arunachal, four friends on two bikes — set out on a road trip that turned into one of our most memorable adventures ever.

This wasn’t just a ride — it was a journey through clouds, waterfalls, and stories waiting at every turn.

Why Arunachal Pradesh?

We chose Arunachal Pradesh because it fit our budget, timeline, and weather perfectly. But beyond that, we were drawn to its warmth — the people, the untouched landscapes, and the sense of peace that’s rare to find elsewhere.

Our Route & Stays

Dirang → Nuranang → Tawang → Kripti Village → Sangti Valley

🏡 Dirang – The Perfect Start

Our journey began at Dirang, a small valley town surrounded by orchards and mountains. It was the perfect warm-up for our bikes and our spirits. We explored the local market, met cheerful locals, and fueled up with hot momos and tea before hitting the road again.

💦 Nuranang Waterfalls – Nature’s Roar

Next came Nuranang Waterfalls, near Jang — a powerful cascade tumbling down the cliffs. The roar of the waterfall and the spray of cold mist were pure magic. We parked our bikes nearby and just stood there for a while — silent, awestruck, and completely alive.

🏔️ Tawang & Bumla Pass – The Challenge

The ride to Tawang was thrilling, but the real test came at Bumla Pass. As we climbed higher, the weather turned — sudden rain, slippery roads, and biting cold. Riding through it was tough but unforgettable. For a biker, these are the moments that make the journey epic. Standing at the Indo-China border, soaked but smiling, we knew it was all worth it.

🌿 Kripti Village – Calm & Coffee

After the adrenaline rush of Bumla, Kripti Village felt like a peaceful pause. Quiet lanes, kind locals, and the smell of fresh Arunachal coffee — it was the perfect break. We sat with the locals, shared travel stories, and recharged for the next leg of our trip.

🌸 Sangti Valley – The Grand Finale

Finally, we rode into Sangti Valley, where the landscape opened up into endless meadows, calm rivers, and grazing yaks. The valley was a dream — the kind of place that makes you want to park your bike, breathe deeply, and never leave.

All our stays were arranged through Izifiso, making it smooth and budget-friendly — something every biker appreciates after long hours on the road.
